We are delighted to invite you to a FREE screening and discussion of the Israeli box office sensation and critically-acclaimed comedy/drama, The Farewell Party. This offbeat comedy is about Yehezkel and his friends at a Jerusalem retirement home who build a euthanasia machine to help their terminally ill friend. When rumors of the machine begin to spread, more and more people ask for their help, and the group is faced with an emotional, ethical dilemma. Not the least is when Yehezkel’s own wife Levana asks for help. The film runs 90 minutes in Hebrew with subtitles. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes rated it 94%. The L.A. Times said, “The Farewell Party” not only thinks the unthinkable, it laughs at the unlaughable.”
